History of Our Troop

We received our Troop numbers on February 12, 2002. We are young but ready to go! We are excited about our current membership and looking for new Scouts to join our Troop.

Our Chartering Organization

We proudly announce our chartering organization: Deerpark Baptist Church. Deerpark is located at 1733 Bardstown Road in the heart of the Highlands. Our chartering organization representative is Mr. Joe Woosley. Our Pastor and Troop Chaplain is Dr. David Platt. We thank our family at Deerpark for allowing us to grow and serve our community.

We are a part of the Boy Scouts of America, Lincoln Heritage Council. Special thanks to Cynthia Miles for guiding us through the beginning of our Troop!

Scoutmaster Matt Harp was a member of Troop 377 from 1980 to 1990. He received his Eagle on August 12, 1985 under the care and instruction of Scoutmaster Bob Graham. He served as Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 686 in Shepardsville, Ky and as Scoutmaster of Troop 540 also in Shepardsville, KY. He is a union electrician with the IBEW local 369 and a member of Deerpark Baptist Church.

Assistant scoutmaster Frank Harrison was also a member of Troop 377. He joins Scoutmaster Harp in molding our American boys into American young men.

Troop Committee Chairperson Marae Harp has entered into her first scouting experience by becoming an adult leader. She is the Catering Director for Clements Catering in the Kentucky Derby Museum and a member of Deerpark Baptist Church.

Troop Committee Member Beverly Harrison has entered her first scouting experience by becoming an adult leader.
